Well I have a lot of new music to share!

First up, Lupe's new track "I'm Beaming." I cannot post a link to download it since it mysteriously disappeared after it showed up on a couple blogs.

For my "R&B" pick, Jamie Foxx has a song featuring Lil Wayne, of course. Guess Lil Wayne is trying to stay relevant before he goes to jail. , Jamie Foxx's voice is almost unrecognizable in this song.



I like it though. The lines of R&B and Hip-Hop have blurred sooo much. I respect Jamie for still making music though, post-Oscar and muti-million dollar paychecks from his movie roles.

By now, everyone has heard about the recent beating of Teddy Riley's 18 year old daughter by...Teddy Riley.



Well stories have been swirling around. One claimed that he stated he had a right to beat his children. Another story claimed that he denied the whole incident. Either way, the incident allegedly happened with a Guitar Hero guitar as a weapon.

Who would've thought of that? Can't hate on the dude for being creative.

So, of course they took to Twitter.

I guess they are supposed to be chronicling their journey to a healthy weight. Why do I have a feeling TLC is exploiting them? Poor Klumps family.

MUSIC WORLD: Take It Back Tuesday- Donnell Jones "Where I Wanna Be"

I'm starting TAKE IT BACK TUESDAYS!.

I will use Take It Back Tuesdays to document a meaningful album, artist, video, or song from my yester-years. I am an 80's baby, so choices will reflect that.

First up, Donell Jones.



"Where I Wanna Be" is the title track from his 1999 Sophomore album. That album alone deserves a post, but instead, I am sharing the video with you. Enjoy.



This song inspired many imitations (check YouTube if you don't believe me) and explained the feelings of a young man in a time of confusion. His buttery smooth voice is beautiful. You can purchase the full album HERE. I don't do R& B, so if I'm vouching, it's good!

I have an appreciation for "street" fashion with no real need for it considering I have a 9-5 job.

BUT, I do own a couple pairs of Supras which I find to be high quality, extremely comfortable, eye catching (albeit slightly expensive) sneakers. I love em!



In Spring 2010, Supra is continuing their Skytop line (my fave) in addition to their other shoe styles.







It seems like they are attempting to be a little more mainstream with the last checkered "Ked"- like shoe.

Today is the first day of Kwanzaa: Umoja, which means Unity represents today. Why do I know this? My father, a former Black Panther & Current Muslim, made us celebrate every year! The principles are worth reading up on though.


Anywho, there have been pics circulating of Keyshia Cole's pregnant belly all over the net for the past few months. What once started as a rumor has definitely been confirmed by the most recent holiday pics.



The pics were taken at a community service event in East Oakland. She's pretty f'n huge...and the ensemble is puzzling me. A pink tutu? Louboutin's? Micro braids?? Hmm... Keysh.


Her boyfriend (soon to be baby daddy) is Cleveland Cavalier player Daniel Gibson.

MOVIE WORLD: New Karate Kid; Sex and the City 2

Big trailers for two highly anticipated movies were released today. I am sure there will be multiple trailers for both, but here is what has been released so far.

SEX AND THE CITY 2!! The first movie was a MAJOR success ensuring the 4 friends would reunite to further tell the stories of the characters so many people are emotionally invested in. Set for release May 28, 2010 and I personally cannot wait!

There have been rumors abound about Carrie and Big moving to London, Aiden returning, and loads of flashback scenes. I try to ignore those rumors and just anticipate the exciting release.



Secondly, The Karate Kid Movie starring Will Smith's big-haired son Jaden Smith. As an 80s baby AND having a brother that did karate (second level, yellow, check for him), I remember the original karate kid starring Ralph Macchio. He was bullied so Mr. Miyagi steps in and helps him defeat The Cobras. That movie was RAW!




Well fast forward to Summer 2010 and Taraji P. Henson and Jaden Smith have decided to do a remake. In this version they move to China.

Daniel (from the original Karate Kid) was a little older than Jaden Smith's character Dre. And Jackie Chan either got some good makeup done to age him or dude is getting old. Is it worth seeing? I'm not sure yet. Will Smith's company Overbrook is producing it though, so the money will be all in the family!

CELEBRITY WORLD: T.I. IS FREE!!

Breaking news from the entertainment world...

Multi-platinum selling artist T.I. has been freed in time for the holiday season. There were rumors and rumblings that he would be set free early NEXT year and sent to a halfway home to complete the remaining months of his sentence. Apparently, those reports were false and he has been freed from Federal Prison TODAY!!



What a wonderful Christmas gift to him and his family. He is still set to complete the remainder of his sentence in a halfway home as previously reported.

Rumor has it he got off on good behavior. *side eye*



I'm sure it had MUCH to do with his celebrity status. Either way, THE KING IS BACK!

Jay-Z is back with another black and white video for "YOUNG FOREVER" off BP3. I've learned to appreciate this song after initially shunning it through my first listen of Blueprint 3.

It was a decent video capturing the essence of youth. I was completely unaware Mr. Hudson looked like a mix of Powder and that dude from The Da Vinci code, Silas. Maybe I've been under a rock.

Moving along, Omarion STILL refuses to cut off that puffy tail and has since released a video to "HOODIE" dedicated to Michael Jackson. This song should definitely appeal to ex-B2K fans, therefore I'm not feeling it.



Word is his mom acted as a background dancer. Nice idea. He claims he's "getting money all day, everyday with his hoodie on," but for some reason I don't believe him... maybe he needs more people cuz Jay Rock isn't an endorsement to me.


In movie news, the new trailer for Iron Man 2 has been released. Being a surprise fan of Iron Man, I am excited for Iron Man 2.

Terrance Howard gotta be kicking himself for losing his role to Don Cheadle. I personally prefer Terrance Howard in the role. Should be a interesting.

Nike is back with their viral commercials. This one is called "Dunkin on a Reindeer" featuring KRS-One (who I really don't like) and Lupe with Kobe and LeBron puppets. This is the type of ish that's funny to me.

GOSSIP WORLD: The Knowles Divorce; RIP Chris Henry; KING is Back; Swizzy and Alicia; Gaga, Kanye, Bey, & Mariah

If you’ve been keeping your ear to the streets, you would know that Mr. Matthew Knowles (bka Beyonce’s daddy) has been having his own little side thangs for a while. Most recently some woman at Columbia or Sony or one of those record companies was let go of her position because she did not fully meet the requirements to have a major position in the marketing department. Well, she went off after being laid off. She claimed she was placed in that position by Matthew Knowles himself to keep their relationship quiet.



Guess Mama Knowles wasn’t feeling that and she has officially filed for divorce. Matthew Knowles makes 25% of whatever Bey makes as her manager, so needless to say he isn’t hurting. But Mama Knowles IS over at House of Dereon doing big things…*crickets*

RIP CHRIS HENRY



Cincinnati Bengals player Chris Henry recently died due to what is being called a domestic dispute. Unfortunately the full details are not known at the moment and people took to Twitter declaring him deceased before it was a true statement.

Unfortunately, it seems as if his fiancé may be held responsible for his death as he was in the back of a truck she was driving when he got thrown out into the street. Either way, keep his family in your prayers as this is surely a difficult pill to swallow.

KING MAGAZINE IS BACK!



I love magazines though they are a dying form of information with the use of blogs and twitter and whatnot. VIBE folded and came back, GIANT is just gone, but KING will be back for winter 2010 with Rosa Acosta as the cover girl. She’s definitely cute and funny, so I endorse her. Follow her on Twitter for some laughs too.

KING is a men’s magazine that appeals to everyone, so if you’ve never read it, start in 2010!
